Last year’s Online Branch programs focused on getting to know our national leaders and allies, and recognizing Title IX’s 50th anniversary.
This year, we are capitalizing even more on the advantage of being virtual, planning programs in collaboration with other states’ online branches and in response to our members’ current interests and concerns. Our meetings will continue to be less regular, but we will be able to include collaborations and presenters that serve the AAUW agenda; the Branch Buzz will keep you informed! We hope you have been energized by WA Online’s October 19th panel and accepted the invitation to Tigard’s October 12th program on drug research.
We regret that our October 8th session with Dr. Amy La had to be canceled, but it WILL be rescheduled after the first of the year, because women’s post-pandemic mental health is so important.
Meanwhile, on December 1st, Trish Garner will discuss Oregon’s midterm election, including how these results will impact Oregon women. She will also explain her role as our first state DEI officer.
We are working on securing presenters for our meetings in 2023, and we’re already excited about the possibilities. If there are topics and presenters that you, our members, believe we should include, please let us know.
